About Me

Hey, I'm Simon Völkl. Currently, I'm on a dual study programme with training as an IT specialist for application development at Witron Logistik + Informatik GmbH in Parkstein. My studies in Artificial Intelligence at the OTH Amberg-Weiden started in October 2024; I plan to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2028.
In 2023 I was awarded the Dr. Hans Riegel Prize by the University of Regensburg for my seminar paper at school and received a sponsorship from the foundation. I also earned an honourable mention from the OTH Amberg-Weiden for my work as well as a scholarship from E-Fellows. From there on, more and more scholarships, projects and work experience followed, which I am happy to share with you on this website.

Apprenticeship as an IT Specialist for Application Development

Introductory computer science courses, collaborated on internal development projects with web technologies (Angular, C# ASP.NET) and language models (RAG, Vector Storage), transitioned to focus on Machine Learning, Computer Vision and DevOps across various teams, mentored interns and apprentices.
